Psychotherapy
Steps towards wellness
What is Psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy, is a professional process that helps individuals navigate emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges. It provides a safe and confidential space to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained therapist, leading to greater self-awareness, healing, and personal growth.
How Can Psychotherapy Help?
Psychotherapy can help with:
✔️ Stress, anxiety, and depression
✔️ Grief and loss
✔️ Trauma and past experiences
✔️ Relationship challenges
✔️ Behavioral and emotional regulation
✔️ Self-esteem and confidence

Arts Based Therapy
The arts empower. The arts give a voice to the voiceless. The arts help transform.
What is Arts-Based Therapy (ABT)?
Arts-Based Therapy (ABT) is a powerful, evidence-based therapeutic approach that integrates creative expression with psychological healing. Using visual arts, music, movement, drama, and storytelling, ABT helps individuals explore emotions, process trauma, and develop coping strategies in a non-verbal, expressive way.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, ABT allows individuals to express thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to articulate through words alone. It fosters self-awareness, emotional regulation, and healing by engaging both the mind and body.
Who Can Benefit from ABT?
Arts-Based Therapy is effective for people of all ages, including:
🎨 Children & Adolescents – Enhances emotional expression, self-regulation, and social skills
🎭 Adults – Helps with stress, anxiety, trauma, grief, and self-exploration
🎵 Individuals with Special Needs – Supports neurodivergent individuals (e.g., Autism, ADHD, sensory challenges)
🧘 Groups & Communities – Encourages team bonding, mindfulness, and emotional well-being
How Does Arts-Based Therapy Work?
ABT sessions are tailored to each individual’s needs and may include:
🎨 Visual Art Therapy – Painting, drawing, or sculpting to express emotions
🎭 Drama Therapy – Role-playing, storytelling, and improvisation for self-exploration
🎵 Music Therapy – Using sound, rhythm, and movement for emotional release
💃 Movement & Dance Therapy – Embodying feelings through movement and mindful expression
Why Choose Arts-Based Therapy?
✔️ Accessible & Engaging – No artistic skills needed, just an open mind
✔️ Safe & Non-Judgmental – Encourages authentic self-expression
✔️ Deeply Transformative – Helps process emotions beyond words
✔️ Mind-Body Connection – Supports holistic healing
Creativity is a path to healing. Whether you’re seeking emotional release, personal growth, or a deeper connection with yourself, Arts-Based Therapy offers a unique and meaningful journey toward well-being.

Alternative &
Complimentary Therapy
To truly regenerate, to find what we are seeking, we must change from within
What is Alternative & Complementary Therapy?
Alternative & Complementary Therapy encompasses holistic healing approaches that work alongside or instead of conventional medical and psychological treatments. These therapies focus on restoring balance in the mind, body, and spirit, promoting overall well-being through natural and integrative methods.
The Difference Between Alternative & Complementary Therapy
🌿 Alternative Therapy – Used instead of conventional treatments (e.g., choosing energy healing over medication).
🌱 Complementary Therapy – Used alongside medical or psychological treatments to enhance effectiveness (e.g., meditation with psychotherapy).
Types of Alternative & Complementary Therapies
I integrate a range of holistic approaches based on individual needs, including:
🌀 Energy Healing (Reiki, Pranic Healing) – Balances the body’s energy flow for emotional and physical healing.
🧘 Mindfulness & Meditation – Helps manage stress, anxiety, and emotional regulation.
🌿 Bach Flower Remedies – Natural flower essences that support emotional balance.
👐 Body-Mind Practices (Breathwork, Somatic Techniques) – Encourages deep relaxation and trauma release.
🎨 Arts-Based Therapy – Uses creative expression for emotional healing.
💆 Aromatherapy – Uses essential oils to support mood, relaxation, and mental clarity.
Who Can Benefit?
✔️ Those seeking holistic emotional well-being
✔️ Individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, or trauma
✔️ People looking to enhance traditional therapy with natural healing methods
✔️ Those wanting to connect deeply with their mind and body
Why Choose Alternative & Complementary Therapy?
✨ Gentle & Natural – Works in harmony with the body’s own healing process
🌍 Holistic & Personalized – Addresses emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being
💆 Reduces Stress & Enhances Mental Clarity
🔄 Integrative & Flexible – Can be combined with traditional therapy for greater impact
Healing is a journey, not a destination. Whether you're looking to manage stress, process emotions, or explore deeper self-awareness, alternative and complementary therapies can support you in achieving inner balance.

Trainings
A place where learnings begin

SEEDS Arts Based Therapy (ABT)
This is the first ABT Certificate Course launched in Mumbai by Lighthouse. ABT can be used as an adjunctive/augmentative therapy, to complement the work of practitioners from different disciplines or as an independent intervention for attaining the specific objective of psychosocial wellbeing of their clients.
The World Centre for Creative Learning (WCCL) Foundation is a pioneer organisation in the country training professionals in Arts-Based Therapy. The ABT certificate Course started in 2005-06 in response to lack of systematic, long-term training in the subject. WCCLF have trained over 250 ABT Practitioners from 2005 until 2017. Since 2015, WCCLF launched a Train-the-Trainer format to create ABT-Educators by inviting select ABT-Practitioners in order to spread the ABT Course to other centres in India. SEEDS is the outcome of that training.
‘Arts-Based Therapy (ABT) is the evidence-based use of art forms to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship. The basis of ABT lies in Indian Psychology and Ethics, Studies of Human Development, Neuroplasticity and Cognitive Neuroscience. It is a contemporary therapy based on traditional and modern artistic material. To know more, click here.

Wellbeing Programs
For the journey that is life.

The meaning of wellbeing is multidimensional. Mental Wellbeing matters, because everything we do and every emotion we feel relates to our well-being. In turn, our Mental well-being directly affects our actions and emotions. It’s an ongoing circle. Moreover, our Mind and Body are deeply connected and react to each other. Therefore, to achieve optimal wellness, it is important to care for the Mind as much as we care for the Body.
At Lighthouse we offer -
-
Wellbeing Retreats - Its a stepping back from the busyness of day-to-day life and slowing down, relaxing, and unwinding in solitude. On a wellness retreat, you relax in place, enjoying the calm environment of the place and the beauty surrounding you. You learn new skills or interests with part of every day. You benefit from healthy approaches like massage, and simply enjoy your time to reflect and relax throughout your stay. Wellness retreats are spaces where you are able to get away from the stress of daily life to unwind, relax and rejuvenate. Whether you’ve experienced emotional trauma, are stuck in a set of limiting beliefs or want to change your relationship with food, your health or your self-esteem, there is a wellness retreat out there for you.

Pradnya Smriti -Remembering the Wisdom. This is an organisational outreach and preventive health program. The module is based on Wisdom Based Mindfulness. We use different art forms to conduct this module. Its more interactive and through simple games, videos, books and practical hands on activities, learning takes place. Its more about creating insights and seeing within. We are open to come share this program with any group; can be from the corporate, women's groups, teenagers and in academia (college/university) as a course. It is an 8 sessions program, but can be tailor made to the need of the group or organisation. Our intent is to help develop the practice of Compassion, Mindfulness and Wisdom into daily life. Deep gratitude to WCCL Foundation for always guiding and lighting the path for us.
